Let's Talk Sustainability

Public Consultation on the 2016-2019 Federal Sustainable Development Strategy

Do you care about the environment? Environment and Climate Change Canada is looking for your input on the draft 2016-2019 Federal Sustainable Development Strategy.

The Strategy will become the government’s plan and vision for a more sustainable Canada. We’re asking all Canadians to get involved and share their views. We are looking for your input into developing high-level aspirational goals, clear and measurable targets and concrete plans for achieving those targets.

The 120-day public consultation on the draft Strategy runs from February 26 to June 24, 2016. As we work toward a final Strategy, your ideas, knowledge and expertise will help us define where we need to go and how to get there.

Explore the draft Strategy and let us know what you think!

With your help we will develop the final version of the Strategy, which will be released later in 2016. And we commit to reporting back to you with an overview of what we heard from you and its impact on the final Strategy.

This is only a starting place, and the conversation won’t end here. Over the next three years we will continue to engage in dialogue with Canadians on sustainable development.

We want to hear from a broad range of Canadians from coast-to-coast-to coast. Share the Strategy with your friends and colleagues and encourage them to join the conversation!
